Biography

Dr. Hancock is a Board Certified Diagnostic Radiologist and a Board Certified Neuroradiologist through the American Board of Radiology. He received an undergraduate degree in Genetics at the University of Georgia, graduating Summa Cum Laude; then received his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Hancock conducted two years of stem cell neurodevelopment research in graduate school at the Medical College of Georgia, accomplished his internship at the Carolinas Medical Center, and performed a four year residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Miami where he was voted Chief Resident. Dr. Hancock completed his fellowships in Neuroradiology and Musculoskeletal Radiology at the University of Miami. After fellowship training, Dr. Hancock became Director of Neuroradiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center and served as Associate Program Director for the MSMC Department of Radiology residency program. During his tenure at MSMC, Dr. Hancock received the Certification of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology from the American Board of Radiology. In 2011, Dr. Hancock joined Desert Medical Imaging as Director of Neuroradiology. Dr. Hancock’s active research interests include stroke, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, cognitive impairment, pain management, stem cell therapy, and minimally invasive spine surgery. Dr. Hancock has presented, authored and co-authored numerous abstracts, peer reviewed journal articles, and internet publications and has lectured both regionally and on the international stage. Dr. Hancock is a reviewer for The American Journal of Neuroradiology, The Spine Journal, and Neurographics. Dr. Hancock is a Past Chair for the California Medical Association Young Physician Section, Trustee for the California Medical Association, Board Member of the Riverside County Medical Association, California Medical Association Delegate to the American Medical Association, Board Member of the California Radiological Society, and Councilor to the American College of Radiology.
